The maglock is now fully operational. If you don't yet have your key please get one at http://signup.hackerdojo.com/key  Remember, all members are eligible for keys after 1 month of membership.

Remember: any member can act as staff now. There is no "staff" group.

When will the Dojo be Locked?

The Dojo should be unlocked during the day as usual. In the evening, the door may be locked.  Weekends are up to those members present.

Entering the Dojo when it is Locked

To open the door, wave your key over the black box to the right of the front door as you enter.  It will then disengage the maglock for a few seconds so you can enter.  Opening the door does not sign you into the dojo. 

Signing in with your Key

You can sign in with your key at the signin computer.  Scan your key on the RFID scanner to the left of the signin computer in A.  B will have one soon.  Your signin options are Anonymous, Member, and Staff.  Annoymous prevents you from showing up in the public log.  Member means you opt-in to show up in the public log (http://hackerdojo-signin.appspot.com/log ). Staff means opt-in to show up on the public log and your name and icon will appear on the kiosk.  This is a good way to indicate that you want to help out, and let people ask you questions.  Change your icon using gravatar (http://en.gravatar.com/site/signup/ ).

Leaving the Dojo

To exit, press the crash bar as you exit.  To sign out as staff click your name on the kiosk.  If nobody is signed in as staff when you leave, check there is another member willing to be responsible.  If you can't find one, make sure the maglock is engaged, throw everybody out and turn out the lights.

Engage/Disengage Lock on the Dojo

To engage or disengage the maglock use the knife switch located above the kiosk machine.  Remember: please don't use the old key lock.
