Summary: this class is a beginner game development class based on the processing Java graphics toolkit. It is the only one of its kind where basic principles are explained in a set of 10 steps. These techniques can be used on any game of this type to create other versions on other platforms using other graphics libraries. Very cool. Reminds me of the old cs106 programming assignments when Marissa was teaching where we did Pong games and browsers for assignments.
This class was taught by Mike Bowkes from May-June 2010. The class was based on the Stanford cs229 materials. Materials used with permission from the Professor. In the last class meeting Amazon came down to visit the class with students presenting how they used the Amazon cluster for machine learning. Tyler Neylon presented a variant of the k-nearest neighbors algorithm.
This class was taught by Rob Brown from May-June 2010.
This class was taught by Scott Haines from April-May 2010.
This class was led by Carlos McEveilly where we met once a week to discuss the homeworks assigned in the Stanford cs193p class.
This class was taught by DC from Sept-Oct 2009. This was the first HD class and was based on the Stanford cs193p materials with permission from Dr. Patrick Young.
